About the Course

The drawing and painting course at the Levels Academy offers students the opportunity to learn about all the components of drawing, such as composition, form, line, spatial-volumetric thinking, perspective, tonal solution, and manner of execution. In the form of a presentation, the teacher will introduce students to the meaning of each new topic, its origin, technique, famous artists and their works.

At the end of the academic year, students participate in a final exhibition of their works and receive an official certificate of completion.

Instruction is based on a step-by-step academic approach, complemented by creative projects.

Students work both on classical exercises (still life, portrait, landscape) and on independent, imaginative projects guided by professional artists.

Reference study of works by famous painters (e.g., Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, René Magritte, Salvador Dalí, Niko Pirosmani).

Integration of art history with practice, allowing students to understand the evolution of artistic styles while applying them in their own work.
The program runs for a full academic year, with 8 sessions per month.

Lessons are held twice a week, each lasting 90 minutes.
Groups are organized according to both age and skill level, ensuring that students learn alongside peers with similar abilities and interests, while receiving guidance appropriate to their stage of artistic development.
Drawing courses are led by professional artists, who have participated in dozens of exhibitions in Georgia and abroad, and also have many years of experience in the field of drawing mentoring.
At the end of the course, students present their works in a public exhibition.

Each participant receives a certificate of completion, recognizing their progress and artistic achievement.
Semester I
1. Still life: strokes, lines, light and shadow and the basic principles of perspective. Study of graphic and painting techniques.
2. Famous artists: The history of the origin of still life and acquaintance with the works of famous artists and drawing references.
3. Autumn landscape: An outdoor lesson in nature. Students will work on the theme of autumn in the open air. They draw a landscape, learn how to draw nature, trees and plants.
4. Basics of composition: The balance of objects, color and shape in the composition.
5. Portrait: Drawing a flat and plaster head. Development of skills in creating portraits.
6. New Year's drawing: A work done on the theme of New Year.
Semester II
7. Contemporary Art: Criteria and Trends of Contemporary Painting
8. Easter Still Life: Creating still lifes on an Easter theme.
9. Illustration: Visualizing characters from favorite books.
10. Georgian Art: History of Georgian painting and architecture. Getting to know the works of famous Georgian artists, drawing references.
11. Abstraction: Students will learn about the essence of abstraction, its types and meaning. They will look at famous examples of abstract painting (e.g. Kandinsky, Mondrian, Malevich, Lisztsky, Rothko). Students will create their own abstract work.
